Merry Christmas to all!!!

Sorry I am a little behind on the blogging. This time of year can be very crazy for us with dance recitals, vocal recitals and Christmas parties. But here are my cute kids on Santa's lap. I love this picture of Ty and Santa. He was afraid of Santa when he came in and sat on Brad's lap and didn't want to get down. After a little while Santa came around with his puppet reindeer.
He let all the kids pet him and Ty thought that was pretty cool. Then Santa got out his jingle bells and Ty was all over that. He was picking then up and shaking them. But when it came time to sit on his lap that was a
different story. He didn't want to so I took him up there and he fought for a minute but when Santa gave him his Chocolate he was just fine. He talked to him and
played with his glasses. As long as Santa had a treat for Ty he was in just fine. Ty asked for a train and a bed. Cortlyn asked for a Hannah Montana doll and an ipod. Hayden asked for a new pogo stick. He can pogo over 500 times and can do it with NO HANDS. Shawnee went to sit on Santa's lap and he instantly asked her if your makeup is all over the counter and her underwear in laying on the bathroom floor. She got this look of how did you know. That is so her it

bugs me so bad. You would think that there are four girls using that bathroom. She asked for a new phone and clothes. So what a teenager would ask for.
I just want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and hope that the Lord is with you this holiday season. May all your wishes come true in the New Year!!!

NUTCRACKER

So me and my friend Julie took our girls to the Nutcracker this last Saturday. And can I tell you they LOVED it!!! We got there and they had a little boutique set up with a few things and as you can tell from the pictures they all had to have tiara's. Which I thought was very cute.
Shawnee was even wanting to be a princess for a day. They all wore their tiara's the whole time. We had great seats thanks to Julie. We sat on the sixth row from the front. The girls were mesmerized with the

dancers. I don't think that Cortlyn moved the in tire time. After the performance they had a tea party set up for the girls. They could meet the dancers and have their pictures taken with them. I am pretty sure the girls loved this more than the actual Nutcracker. They had cute little cupcakes and cookies with punch. Tables decorated to the nigh. It felt magical when you walked into the room. I think that everyone decided this would be a great tradition we could do every year. Thanks Julie and the girls for going with us we had a BLAST!!!

Gingerbread houses

Here's to the most creative house I have seen in a long time. I usually make one house and all the kids get to help decorate it. This year I didn't have to do any of the work. Marcy, Rob's wife who is very good friends with Brad made these cute little house's for the kids to decorate. Now I need to let you know that Marcy makes these little gingerbread houses from scratch mind you and makes enough houses for every kid that is in her children's class that year. Yes she does this every year. Makes over 50 houses. Plus puts them all together and.... puts a bag of mixed candy in a bag for each child. There was mini M & M's, regular M & M's, candy canes, gum drops, mini cookies, skittles, fruit loops, licorice, pretzels, kisses, you name she had it. She also had a cup of frosting for each kid and little spoon to spread it around. She has this down pat.

So the kids spent probably two hours on there house. I think they ate more than they put on they house but isn't that the way it goes. As you can see here Hayden was more interested in getting his sleigh to fly in the air than really decorate the house. You can see it in the right back corner. He had 4 candy canes to hold up the 2 candy canes that were the sleigh and two cookies with a mint and a gum drop. We thought that is was going to fall but it held up pretty good.

Ty did pretty good on his house with a little help from mom of course but he put most of the candy on the roof and the wreaths above the door. He got bored after a little while so mom finished up his house. You know me I have to make it PRETTY and COLORFUL!!! Cortyln was pretty funny when she was decorating her house she would look at everyone else's house and copy what they were doing. She would spread the frosting on her roof and by the time she was done the frosting would be a millimeter thick and dry so she had to do it again. She finally learned to just goop it on.

Shawnee is just like me in the sense that it has to look nice and even on all sides. She did a great job on it. You would have thought that I did it. But I guess I have taught her well. Notice her beautiful smile. She got her braces off two days ago. Isn't she so CUTE and grown-up! She did put mistletoe by her house. It is the candy cane arch with the thing hanging down. She is getting to big for her britches.

We had a great time as a family decorating the house's. Thanks to Marcy it was a lot easier to do with everyone having there own. I hope this becomes a tradition every year. Now I want to here what your favorite tradition is over the holiday. So I am going to tag everyone that reads this. So you better do it. I hope everyone has a great, safe, and HAPPY holiday.

*** TWILIGHT ***

I finally got to go and see the movie with Shawnee and my mother in law, Taunya and sister in laws Shelli and Teisha. Missed you Amanda. I was a little nervous going into it, because it was a book I loved and you have this picture in your head of what the characters are going to look like. But I would have to say that they did a great job on the characters. I was not liking Edward at the beginning but he grew on me. Jacob is pretty cute too. I loved the movie. I am going to go see it again with friends. I left the theatre wanting the movie for New moon to come out now. I can't wait for the next one to come out. Can I just tell you I loved this movie again!!!! If you haven't seen it or read the books you need to. You are missing out.

{ Is THanksGiving still a holiday? }

Last I checked Thanksgiving was still a holiday. RIGHT? Well I wonder sometimes. Last night as we were coming home from grandma and grandpas. We pass a house that had there Christmas lights on the house plus had their tree up and all decorated with the lights on as well. WHAT!!!! We haven't had Thanksgiving yet. I hate when people do that. And the stores don't get me started. It drives me crazy to see Christmas at Halloween. We have all together forgotten all about the wonderful holiday in between. THANKSGIVING! What better time to spend with your family then this holiday. Now don't get me wrong I have my lights up outside but they do not let me repeat DO NOT!!! Come on until after Thanksgiving. I want to feel the wonderful feeling of gratitude that you can feel with this holiday. Gathered with your family and ponder on what you truly are grateful for at this time of the year. So I want to know what you think about this subject. Are we skipping past this holiday because we are to busy to acknowledge it or just a quick break from all the kayos that is about to happen so we better start now? What do you think?

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL

So Cortlyn got this fun package in the mail the other day. She was so excited to see what was inside cause it was from HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL. She couldn't wait to open it. When she opened it she realized what was inside and she couldn't believe what she had received. She got a picture of Kelsey the piano player. Not only one picture but two and one of the pictures was signed with CORTLYN's name on it. She loves High School Musical. This is one item she will cherish for a long time.

GIRLS WEEKEND!!!!

What a BLAST!!!! This weekend was with a bunch of wonderful girls. We had a great get away to the cabin. We arrived Friday night and talked and laughed until one in the morning. The next morning was a free for all. We did what we wanted to do like. Scrapbook or read a book or knit. But we never stopped talking. We went into town for dinner and enjoyed the best shakes ever. Headed back and talked and giggled till the wee hours of the morning. We had a great time together and got to know a little bit more about each other. I think that this group of girls is very kind and uplifting to be around. Not once did we bash on anyone. What a great bunch of ladies! Thanks for coming and having a great time. We will do it again soon but in the mean time laugh a little harder at the bald man.

What was I thinking

So as some of you know that I was just released from the primary presidency two weeks ago. Yesterday I got a call asking me to go and meet with the Bishop. Wow that was fast! No rest for the weary. Ok what am going to be doing? I should have just stayed home. I knew that it would be something that was not a big calling, cause they would have asked Brad to come with me. I walk into the Bishops office and as I walk in the primary president walked out. We exchange looks. I sit down and he asks me to be....... drum roll please......

Relief Society chorister

WHAT!!!! So of course I say yes. I walk out and go talk to the last primary president and she got called to be a teacher in Relief Society well I guess I could have had that job. I think I will like mine better. But what am I suppose to learn from this calling? How to embarrass myself in front of the whole relief society while singing and flapping my arms at the same time. That will be a laugh!!!

[ TRICK OR TREAT ]

This Halloween and every other Halloween we go up to my dad's to trick or treat. The whole family gathers together to walk the neighborhood in all our fun costumes. We had the batman family which was Deven, Julie, Kate and Luke. A HIppIE Shawnee, Nerd was Hayden, Princess was Cortlyn, Bat Was TY. BuzzLight Year was Noah, Pumpkin was Micah. Pretty Witch was Sarah. Not pictured were the Skeleton Pirate, Allona, Gorilla Ammon, Cowboy, Ethan and the cute little
bugs were Addy and Eliza. We had to much fun. After we trick o treated we had dinner. We had the best soups ever. With mummies, body part jello, bobbling potion and monster brains. When we were all full we headed outside for the festivities. We started with the donut eating contest. It was the most hillarious thing I have ever seen. The kids were trying to eat the donut but the donut would roll around their head. They were so sticky at the end but we had a winner. Shawnee won for eating her donut all the way off the string and Hayden for eating his donut all gone even though it fell off the string. We said no hands so kate use her arms instead and Noah was a little to little to understand the NO HANDS rule. Just when we thought that there would be no more sugar the kids got to decorate a cookie and a cupcake. At least they didn't eat them. We got to visit and enjoy each other along with Grandma Linda. Who couldn't miss out on the fun. Thanks Machelle for a GREAT PARTY!!! See you next year.

{ Halloween party }

The traditional Halloween party for the Wilson's. Taunya puts on a fantastic party. We all dress up and do the pumpkin walk as we wait for everyone to arrive. We then told a scary story in the dark. well kinda of in the dark we didn't want to scare the little ones. After we had a photo shoot of all the families we ate. We had chili and bread
sticks with sugar cookies for dessert. After dinner we divided into four groups and made a haunted gingerbread house. They were pretty cute. Except that
we should of built the house first before dinner to let them sit. Cause the house's kept falling apart. I think two out of the four houses stayed together with the help of someone holding it together for awhile. We were covered in frosting at the end but the kids had a great time putting together and decorating the houses. Everyone looked so cute in there costumes too. Grandma Turner was a witch. Grandpa Turner was Clint Eastwood. Drew was a gorilla, Teisha an Indian and Sadie was a butterfly. Chad and Shelli were Hippies, Wilson was The Hulk and Gavin was Spider man. Bert

was a Hawaiian Hula girl and Taunya was Raggedy Ann. Hayden the Nerd, Cortlyn the princess, Brad the Whoopee cushion, Ty as a Bat, Leslie as a Hippie and Shawnee as a GO GO Girl. We had a great time. Thanks for the spooky party, great food and fun entertainment Grandma and Grandpa Wilson. You are the best!!!!

Halloween Party

Shawnee was bound and determined to have a party with her friends this year for HALLOWEEN. So we gave in and let her. Now that she is 12 years old this is what you do. So what better way to have a party and look after her is to have the party. That way I can always have an eye on what is going on. Not that Shawnee and her friends would get into any trouble but you can tell alot by what the girls go at party's. They had a blast! They played game after game. Some of the favorite's were MUMMY WRAP, WITCH'S BREW, CHARADES and FEELING THE UCKY THING'S like intestines, the brain, dead skin, eye balls and fingers. It grosses them out a little bit. After the mummy wrap game there was so much crepe paper on the floor that the girls had a hay day with it as you can tell. They were stuffing it everywhere. But aren't they CUTE! We had so much food. One girls went home with a sick stomach. With an hour and a half left in the party the girls put on a movie. They watched When a stranger calls. No blood or guts just scare you out of your pants. The girls loved it. From what I could tell they enjoyed the party and they all got along. I just hope that this doesn't happen every year. But they were a great bunch of girls I would love to have around.

CORNBELLY'S @ THANKSGIVING POINT

Oh my! The kids had a blast at Cornbelly's on Monday. All the cousins came and had a great time together. As you can see from the pictures we had a hard time pulling them away from what they were doing to go find the next adventure to play on. We sent Ty and Luke down the slide to see who would make it down first and as you can tell Ty was the winner he was a little more aerodynamic then Luke. Luke actually stopped himself on the slide it was so funny. I am pretty sure that Ammon will be picking corn out of his underwear for the next couple of days.

Noah and Hayden went on the train ride together. Ethan wanting to be a farmer when he grows up and Cortlyn wants to milk a cow. She was there for probably 20 minutes milking the cow. She loved it. Its the dumbest things that draw your kids in. I think that we did about everything there at least twice. All expect for the corn maze. The kids weren't to keen on that. But what a way to spend a day with your kids. The weather was perfect and there was no fighting. What more could we
ask for. Good times had by all.

GIRLS WEEKEND

So the girls got a girls weekend with no kids or husbands. We had everyone there all but Heather who we missed. Maybe next time. So we headed around 4 o'clock Friday afternoon. We stopped at the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. It was delicious!!! I love the Cheesecake Factory. We ended with taking our dessert with us which of course was one of I swear fifty cheesecakes. SO GOOD!!! We headed up to Park City for the hotel we were going to stay for the weekend. We played games, talked and of course ate a little of our cheesecake. We headed to bed and yes talked some more. I think it was around 2 or 3 in the morning when we finally drifted off to sleep. We woke the next morning at 10 am and headed for the outlets. We were there until 6 pm that night when we were ready to go and get some dinner. We were going to go see a movie but no one knew anything about any of the movies that were playing so we headed back to the outlets. Yes I know what were we thinking. Well let me explain a little bit. Earlier in the day I bought a sweater and at dinner it was cold and Erionda didn't bring a jacket so I got my sweater that I bought out of my car so she could wear it. Well if you know Erionda she has a hard time finding jackets and sweaters that are long on her arms well this one was perfect so that is why we went back to the outlets. So she could get her one. We were there until they closed at 9 o'clock. Needless to say we were tired and our feet hurt. I don't think that I have ever shopped that long in my life. We talked and watched a movie that night in the room and once again it was a late night and get up early morning. We are all exhausted from the weekend and need another one to make up for all the lost sleep. We had a blast and enjoyed every ones company. We really did miss you Heather.

FALL BREAK

So this past Wednesday I took the kids up to our cabin and spent a couple of days enjoying the most beautiful weather ever. The weather was perfect and the mountain side was full of gorgeous fall colors. The kids enjoyed the outdoors by fourwheeling and picking leaves off the ground. I found this
cute little old gas station with only
one gas pump that was run down. So I just had to stop and take a few pictures. Ty is standing in front of the gas pump with his cool hat that he loves. Cortlyn is in the back up againest this cool looking brick wall same with Hayden. But Shawnee
is standing in front of the gas station with her shadow I thought that was so cool looking so I got a pictures of all the kids and their shadows. After we were done with the photo shoot we headed back to the cabin and once again one more
photo shoot. I love this picture of the kids walking into the woods with the leaves all around them. They look like they really do love each other even though they don't on most days. What a fun fall weekend we had.

{ End of a BUMMER football season }

Hayden had a very successful season. Despite his injury. He played in four games. First was against Juan Diego, Lone Peak, Lehi and Lone Peak again. He started out the season a little timid. He was the one getting hit. Oh I forgot he was an X man and played defensive and offensive tackle. He had bruises on his arms like you wouldn't believe. We had to keep telling him to not be afraid and hit the guy first. He was finally getting the hang of it and his season was cut short. He has a great time with his friends that were on his team. Ethan Issacson and Jared Heer. Friends that have been around for four years and we (meaning the parents) try to put them in sports together as much as possible. Not only because they can have fun playing on the same team but we can also carpool. Which was a very handy thing this year for me at least. He had a great coach James Stock. They never scored a touchdown. But at this age
I would rather the boys get the hang of playing the game and learning the fundamentals then always worrying about whether or
not they scored a touchdown. This
team learned alot and grew together as a team. I would have to say that I am very proud of Hayden and the way he conducted himself on the field. He played the game smart and fair at all times. He never hung his head down, he always held it high. I hope that he wasn't discouraged by only playing in a few games this year but I hope that he continues on in football. I think that he will be a great player. He has the determination to be GREAT!

{ ALL BOY }

Brad couldn't resist taking Ty out on the tractor. All day Ty was saying ride, ride, ride. And you can't say no to him. So Brad loaded him up on the tractor and he loved every minute of it. Ty was even driving it for a while. Which was a little scary he was headed for the fence in the back yard. He did not want to get off. He screamed and screamed with both hands firmly holding onto the handles not wanting to let go. He was enjoying it. You can tell he is
definitely going to be a boy who loves all thing trucks, tractors, four wheelers and motorcylces. Any thing that he can go for a ride on. I hope you never grow out of that!
