CaBiN FuN

So I am finally going to try to get catch back up with this blog. We headed to the cabin for the rest of the Christmas break and Ty's 2nd birthday. There was only a foot of snow. We none the less brought the snowmobiles and we are so glad that we did. Cause if we didn't we would have been too tired to keep walking up the sledding hill. That is pretty much all we did for a week. We never got tired of it. We first started a sledding hill right off the side of the cabin. The kids were loving it but kept running into the trees. It was a little tricky getting down the hill without running a tree over so we gave up on that. While the kids were sledding down the hill Brad would hop on the snowmobile and ride down the road to pick them up and bring then back up the hill to start again. Well that helped start a new run down

the road which started right off the driveway. So the kids started smoothing that one out. There were no trees to run into but there were a few times that if you started right in the driveway you would end up in a tree. The weather was great. The sun would come out and warm you up but made for a pretty bad run after a little while. But by morning the SlEdDiNg was AWESOME. The ground had frozen over night and made the run FaSt. We had a couple of saucers that you can see Brad and Ty and Hayden are on

they were the fastest and if you weren't careful you could start your own sledding run. Those things hauled butt. By the end of the week Hayden's gloves were ruined from him putting his hands down and trying to stear and slow himself down that he put a hole in one of his gloves. It was icy and fast. We invited our friends up for a couple of days. We had a blast. I think the best part of sledding was the kids getting in the big sled pulled by the snowmobile. They would put their sleds under them and hold on for dear life to the big sled while they were being pulled back up the hill. Ty even got into it. He loved sledding down the hill but as you can see from the picture he enjoyed the ride back up. He was a good trooper. He stayed out as long as the big kids did. He was LoViNg it!!! Cortlyn I think was the champ at

sledding. She had no fear what so ever. Her snow suit was soaking wet, her
nose and cheeks red and she was bound and determained to stay and sled some more. She tryed every sled we had. The one that she is one was one that Drew and Teisha brought up. That thing could GO! They were zooming right past me laughing. I think we spent more time outside in the snow then we did in the cabin. We did play games and celebrate Ty's birthday and the New Year. Ty was a trooper there too. He stayed up to watch the ball drop. At the age of 2 I don't think that any of my kids stayed up that late ever. We had so much fun that we are planning on going as much as we can this winter before the snow melts. Here's to family, good friends and great memories.
