Jackson Hole River Running

The Big Kahuna was not so big this year....But Lunch Counter was awesome. It dumped a lot of boats over including ours.
We passed the time by jumping rope. Hayden was a good sport and did it. Gotta love the concentration on this kids face.
Ty getting ready to go on the kiddie run. He got in the water up to his waist and then got in the boat. The water was a lot higher then in years past and was very cold.
Here's all the kids on the kiddie run. They had so much fun. Ty even rode on the front of the boat until we hit a little wave and the water got him and he jumped off.
Lunch Counter was awesome. My dad's back has been bad for a while and we were afraid that he wouldn't be able to make it this year. But with some good meds and prays he was able to come and ride. He made me captain the boat a couple of times down so that he could rest his back.
If you look hard it looks like Shawnee and her friend Sabrina are about to fall out of the boat in front. Lunch Counter caught them a little off guard.
Brad and Hayden having one of their wrestling matches. As you can see Hayden was the winner he is a tough kid.
We hiked up to Hidden Falls at Jenny's Lake. This water fall is massive. Being August and the water is still coming down off the mountain. That is impressive. It is so pretty up here.
Here are some of our hikers. We decided to walk all the way around the lake instead of taking the ferry over to the falls. Lets just say we won't be doing that again unless we have all day to do that. All in all we had a GREAT time and can't wait to go back next year.

Fourth of July

Here is my cute little family on the fourth. We spent it in Mt. Pleasant at the cabin. Me, Brad and Hayden ran a fun run for cancer that morning and then off to the parade. Back to the cabin to let the kids swim in the pool. Brad, Hayden , Chad, and Drew went for a little mountain bike ride. Brad came back with a few cuts and scraps from falling off his bike and rolling down the mountain. But he was ready to go on another one. We ordered pizza and took it to the school to have dinner and watch Mt. Pleasant's fireworks. They are by far the best that I have seen in a long time. We hope everyone had a safe and wonderful holiday. Because I know that we did.

Stadium of Fire

Can I just tell you that Stadium of Fire was Awesome. This was our first year going. WOW!!! So good. Loved the fireworks and Brad Paisley. Shawnee had the opportunity to dance at the Stadium this year so we though we would go until we found out the tickets were outrageous Thanks to Bert we got to go just me and Brad. We sat in the boring mayor section. But we did see Governor Herbert he was a couple of rows over from us and Steve Young. You can see we had good seats. Loved that they put the fireworks to music. This was a picture from the Ring of Fire. You could feel the heat from the flames. It was so cool.
The Stadium of Fire dances made the Liberty Bell and the Statue of Liberty. So cool. They even danced to Katie Perry's Fireworks with light up gloves.
The guy bringing this flag in misjudged his landing a little bit. He ended up hitting into the photographer and knocking him down. What an entrance.
Cute Shawnee in her hot velvet dance costume. Not sure who decides on that but they were dying of the heat from these things.
The group of drill girls that wanted to dance. Aren't they all so cute. Can't wait until next year to see who is coming. It was so much fun. Way to go Shawnee you did and awesome job!!!!

GOLF

Hayden and his friend Jared Heer. I put Hayden in the Ranches Golf clinic again this year and also put him in the association. He can golf every Tuesday 9 holes. He is loving Golf when he can go with his friends and have a good time and loose some balls in the process.
This year Hayden got to have his cute little cousin Wilson come to the clinic with him.

Summer time parades

Shawnee loves to help her Grandpa throw candy in the parade every year. I think she also loves having time to talk with her Grandpa.
Hayden driving Grandpa's tractor with all the kids on the trailer. Yes Shawnee is on there too. She had time to help with Grandpa plus be back in time to get a ride with the rest of the kids.
These kids were definitely TOUGH ENOUGH TO WEAR PINK. Aren't they so cute all in pink getting ready to go to the rodeo.
Gotta love Ty in his cowboy hat and shorts. He was getting ready to watch the horse parade.
Kenzie is just plain cute no matter what. She loved watching the horse parade. She kept clicking her mouth to make the horse sound.

Junior Mr. T

Ty before his hair cut
Ty after his hair cut.
Brad thought it would be cool to give him a Mohawk. Ty thinks it is cool to look like Mr. T. He also thinks that now that he has this hair cut he can act like Mr. T. too. Love the hair cuts that we give our kids. We also like to use them against them when they get older. :)

Demolition Derby

The Drill team wanted a car in the 1st Eagle Mountain Derby. When Brad heard, he was all over it. He found a car and fixed it up. The Drill team came and painted it up nice and pretty. Yes Brad is driving this hunk of junk. NICE CAR HUH!!! This is what it looked like at the beginning of the race. Brad got in a few good hits of his own.
Unfortunately he got hit more than he wanted to.
Lets just say boys DON'T play nice at this game.

He survived the first race. His car on the other hand broke the drive line and put a nice big hole in the passenger side door. He had an awesome pit crew that put the drive line back on and he was on his way to the next round. Thanks Todd and Drew. You saved his bacon.
A little smashed up in the back. Needed a new tire but it drives.
Not sure if Brad is ready for round 2. What a good sport he was.
WATCH OUT!!! Here they come.
Poor Brad. :( Hold on.
VICTORY!!!! He made it. He had a blast. He didn't win but gave it all he had and then some. Those men can be brutal. Just so you know he was running with the BIG boys who have driven in a derby many times. This was Brad's first time. They were out to get the Rookie. He is a little sore today but all in all he would do it again. As for me I am not so sure about it. Maybe if we put him in a giant foam bubble that will keep him from bouncing all over the place. Nice job honey.
